WVU Medicine, Wellness Center announce virtual 0 to 5K training program
MARTINSBURG, W.VA. – The Bob Baronner Apple Trample 5K is going virtual this year and so is the 0 to 5K training program. Whether you decide to run or walk the virtual race, WVU Medicine East is here to support your journey.
The Wellness Center at WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center is offering a 0 to 5k training program to help you prepare for the virtual Apple Trample 5k. The program includes one in-person meeting to start the training journey, and then a training plan, support materials and virtual coaching throughout the training session.
The in-person training session for walkers will be held August 24 at 4:30 p.m. Walkers will follow the Arthritis Foundation Walk with East Program. The in-person training session for runners will be held on August 26 at 4:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the pavilion behind the Dorothy McCormack Center on the Berkeley Medical Center campus.
There is no fee for this program, which is being offered as a community service of WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center and The Wellness Center. More details on the virtual Apple Trample 5K will be released by the end of August.
